Throughout Ardoth there are hundreds of races such as the Humans, Deva , Orcs , and Planetouched , and there are still more subraces such as the Drow, Tieflings , and Half-Orcs. All races can be grouped into six different types of origins: Aberrant, Elemental, Fey, Immortal, Natural, and Shadow.
Creatures which are from, or have been touched by, the Far Realm. These beings are described as bizarre and alien in nature possessing bizarre anatomies, strange abilities, alien mindsets, or any combination of thereof.
Illithid are tall, frail aberrant demonoids whom possess surprising physical strength. They are very distant relatives of the Mind Flayers and far less unapproachable.
Creatures which originate from, or have strong heritage in, the Elemental Chaos. These beings generally have powers that manipulate the four common elements or energy. The Elemental Chaos
Erid are an extremely old race of humanoids whom are believed to be a combination of energy and consciousness. These beings can consist of any type of energy so long as there is enough of it.
Creatures which originate from, or have strong heritage in, the Feywild. These beings generally have supernatural abilities and embody natural wonder.
Creature which are from, or have strong heritage in, the Astral Sea. These beings are defined by agelessness and the incapability of dying a natural death. All immortals, as the name suggest, can have their physical shape vanquished but can only be killed through more calculated means.
Creatures which occur naturally within the Prime Material Plane. These beings are defined by their bloodline being mostly natural such as Planetouched whom have primarily Human blood. Creatures that carry traces of extraplanar blood are often called outsiders.
Creatures which are from, or have strong heritage in, the Shadowfell. These beings are defined by the ability to alter, or be strengthened by, darkness and shadows and sometimes embody darkness itself.
